About Kelly Grady

I grew up in LeMars, Iowa and received my teaching degree from Iowa State University.  Teaching kindergarten was great, but it didn’t pay the bills.  My husband was attending Chiropractic school, so I worked in jewelry stores nights and weekends to help us get through.   

We moved to Colorado and decided that making a fixed income and not being able to travel when we wanted was hard, so I created Tender Loving Carats and became a jewelry broker.  At first, I started selling sterling silver in teacher’s lounges and to friends and family.  It was going well, so I branched out into fine jewelry and quit my teaching job to work at home.
